(English) Homemade Mac & Cheese

  • Serves: 2 people
  • Level: 2 big bowls of pasta


  • 1/2 box macaroni
  • 3 tbsps. Grated cheese (Gouda, Emmetal…)
  • 1 tbsp. Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 250 milliliters milk
  • 50 grams butter
  • 1 1/2 tbsps. Flour
  • Grated French bread
  • A little more of grated cheese


  1. Cook the pasta into a saucepan with boiling water and salt to taste. Drain and reserve.
  2. In a pan, melt the butter and add the flour. Mix well.
  3. Add milk and cheese and cook at low heat until your get a consistent sauce. Add salt to taste.
  4. Pour sauce over the pasta.
  5. Spread some cheese and grated bread on top and enjoy.
  6. You can also use your oven to grill the top of your mac & cheese but make sure you use an ovenproof pan.
