I’m so sorry for my absence these months in the blog. I’ve been so busy with projects and studying some online courses that I haven’t got a single minute to cook. Now, Christmas are almost here and I’ll be spending more time in the kitchen (not as an obligation, of course) so the blog will be much more busy.
For now, I give you my Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe to enjoy for yourself or to give as a Christmas present. I encourage you to try it with different kinds of chocolates but always use a good one, don’t buy the pre-processed chocolate chips or they won’t taste the same, I promis.
Ingredients:
260 g flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
170 g butter
220 g brown sugar
100 g sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 chocolate bar (120g)
COOKIES
In a bowl, mix butter, sugar and brown sugar until you get a crumble.
Add vanilla, egg and egg yolk and mix.
Add flour, baking soda and salt and mix until you get a smooth batter.
Cut the chocolate bar in pieces and add it to the batter. Mix using an spatula.
Cover the batter with a plastic wrap and let it cool in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Pre-heat the oven at 170ºc.
Form balls with a teaspoon with the batter and put them in a baking sheet (previously covered with paper). Make sure the balls are not too close, as you don’t want them to stick together.
Bake for 15 minutes (maybe 20, depends on your oven) and let them cool.
When they are already warm, put them into a plastic zip bag or into a cookie jar so they don’t dry.
