1. APPLE & CINNAMON CHIPS
I’m kind of an addict to that snack and everything started when I tried to find a substitute for popcorn in the cinema. I wanted something crunchy but healthier so Apple chips were the solution for me.
Apple bores me to death but I love it this way with a little bit of cinnamon. I use to choose Royal Gala apples but Pink Lady and Granny Smith are good too for the recipe.
How to do it: cut apple slices and spread some cinnamon on top. Preheat oven at 100º and bake for 1 hour. Then turn them around and bake for another hour.
2. ALMOND MILK & BLUEBERRY POPSICLES
This is a perfect option for summer because it’s super cool and not boring and full of sugar as the traditional popsicles. Plus if you use almond milk it’s suitable for vegans and vegetarians. You can also choose different fruits so you don’t get bored of the same flavour
How to do it: Mix 1/2 l. almond milk with 60g of blueberries. Add some fresh blueberries and freeze.
3. PROTEIN SMOOTHIE: CHOCOLATE SOYA YOGURT, ALMOND MILK AND EGG WHITES
This snack is for those of you who do sport because it will give you the extra protein your body needs. Remember to use pasteurised egg whites so they are safe to eat without cooking them.
How to do it: put all the ingredients into a blender and mix.
4.FROZEN YOGURT, WALNUTS & STRAWBERRY BARS
This is another refreshing snack and perfect to love yogurt again. If you need extra energy, add some chopped walnuts and you will be able to keep on with your hard day.
How to do it:Put a low-fat Greek yogurt into a tray and add some chopped walnuts and raspberries. Freeze overnight.
5.CARROT STICKS WITH HERB & YOGURT DIP
Carrot doesn’t have to be boring and dip doesn’t have to be super caloric. With a low fat yogurt and the correct combination of herbs, you can make a super healthy dip to enjoy your carrots again.
How to do it: mix into a blender 1 low-fat yogurt with 1tsp. persil, 1tsp.thyme and 1/4 tsp. salt. Enjoy with your carrots.
