Teriyaki chicken is probably the best chicken in the world and I’ll confront anyone who says any other thing. Well, while I’m writing that I’m remembering last weekend roast chicken that my father cooked, and I’m starting to get confused.
Re-star: teriyaki chicken is not the best chicken in the world but it’s definitely in my top 5. While you cook it, it starts to smell so good, like Camden Market, like London. I know I’m always talking about my culinary trips, but I often talk about L.A. and not for very good reasons.
The thing is that, believe it or not, I have eaten amazingly in England and, luckily, I could enjoy Camden Town food.
My recipe is super easy and fast (forgetting the 1 hour that the chicken should sit with the sauce) and it’s great to eat with some Basmati rice because the sweet flavour of Teriyaki goes so well with rice. Also, I’m terrible at cooking rice and basmati is quite my specialty so I’m here like super proud.
I like to decorate the dish with some sesame and chive but it’s your choice, what you can’t avoid is teriyaki sauce, lots and lots of sauce which is the joy of life.
